Interested in acquiring certification to become a school library media specialist? Do you need recertification credits in the field of Library Media? Would you like to be able to complete this program online? If so, you may be interested in this information.

Graduate Level Library Media Certification Program

EdCi 522 3 cr. Information Resources & Services
EdCi 545 3 cr. Organization of Information in School Library Media Center
EdCi 546 3 cr. The School Library Media Specialist
EdCi 547 3 cr. Information Inquiry and Educational Change
EdCi 548 3 cr. Management of Information and Resources
EdCi 549 3 cr. Applications of Literature for Children and Young Adults
EdCi 576 3 cr. Internship
(Students already working as noncertified school library media specialists may take electives to fulfill this credit requirement—we are exploring the options.)

This program leads to Library Media K-12 Certification. It is not a graduate degree program. The program is designed for teachers to add to an existing teaching certificate.
